We will begin the year with Chapter one on Place Value. The students must keep memorizing their basic addition and subtraction facts. We will have flashcard races to review these facts. The students have a math workbook. They will use this workbook during class and will be completing homework pages in it. If homework is not assigned, it would be helpful if the students practice their addition and subtraction facts. Multiplication will be very big this year also. The students will be asked to memorize their multiplication facts 0 - 12. We will be working with these as the year goes on.
