Drawing & Painting II 

This course is based on building advanced art skills for students who have already taken Drawing & Painting I.  At this level, students have the freedom to explore their own ideas and creativity through choice-based art projects with teacher approval and guidance in addition to occasional teacher-directed goal based assignments. The total number of points assigned for each choice-based project varies depending on the size of the project, how long it will take to complete, and project complexity. This helps to ensure that the number of points awarded for each individual project is fair and appropriate. Typically, a student completes three or more choice-based projects per quarter. Any student proposed project that is projected to take more than one quarter will not be approved, as the students are expected to pace themselves appropriately in class. With each additional choice-based project, students will continue to learn and grow in new and exciting ways as artists.
