Physical science consists of two primary areas of study. One half of the course will examine the basics of Chemistry. Through experiments, group problem solving, and classroom discussion; you will examine the chemical and physical properties of matter, the structure of matter, the period table of elements, the family of elements, and the various chemical reactions occurring in our natural world. During the part of the year, you will investigate through experiments and problem solving concepts dealing with motion, forces, work, power, simple machines, energy, and heat. It is recommended that Algebra I has been taken or currently being taken.
