Welcome to 8th Grade General MUSIC.
This is designed to be a music appreciation course. Material covered in the course includes basic fundamentals of music, the elements of music, instrument families, opera musical theater, music history, music careers and music technology. Various genres of music and several important composers are studied through research and listening assignments. The students are taught to be active listeners, gaining the ability to discern quality among music and musicians.
