Materials Needed: You will need to bring a writing utensil, notebook, and a two-pocket folder to class. Please come to class prepared. We will be taking notes, and completing worksheets. If you come to class unprepared, you will not receive class participation points for that day.
Homework: All homework assignments are to be turned in at the beginning of the class period. Any homework turned in late will receive a point penalty. Homework that is more than two days late will not be accepted, and you will receive a zero for that assignment.
Tests/Quizzes: There will be several Tests/Quizzes during the nine-week period. There will be a review the day before each test. If you are absent the day of a test, you are responsible for making arrangements for taking the test as soon as possible. Many of the tests will include a listening section, so it may be necessary to make-up the test during homeroom or after school.
Research Assignment: Each student is expected to complete a research assignment on an important composer. More information will be given on this assignment at a later date.
Grading: Your final grade for this course will be based on points earned on quizzes, unit tests, homework assignments, in-class assignments, and class participation. The total possible points on each test and assignment will vary.
